Lea Mercado is a Junior Web Producer at Straight Arrow News. She began writing blog content for her university’s radio station and quickly became invested in fostering a unified and empathetic student community through writing stories focused on people, productivity and mental health.

After working as a web content manager during her undergraduate studies, she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in journalism and mass communication from Texas State University. After graduation, she went on to explore technical writing and content design, but has since returned to her storytelling roots in journalism to help people amplify their stories and create positive impacts.
