Aaron Rodgers speaks out on exile culture of NFL’s unvaccinated

Aaron Rodgers opened up on the controversy surrounding unvaccinated athletes in the latest Joe Rogan podcast. Rodgers said there was an outstanding amount of pressure to get vaccinated against COVID-19 but decided against getting the shot. He said he saw fellow athletes grilled about their vaccination status and prepared an answer to the media hoping to avoid further questions to avoid controversy.

“I had come to the conclusion that I was going to say I’ve been immunized and if there’s a follow up, talk about my process,” Rodger said. “There’s a possibility if I say I’m immunized, maybe they understand what that means, maybe they don’t, maybe they follow up. They didn’t follow up.”

Rodgers told reporters he was immunized. He later was accused of misleading the public by giving the answer. Aaron Rodgers said all of his teammates were aware he was unvaccinated. He provided context during the interview with Rogan. Rodgers said he is allergic to a component inside the COVID-19 vaccine. Rodgers researched ways of immunization with dozens of doctors. He said he used a diluted, oral ingestion of a small amount of the virus as way of immunization.

Rodgers went on to discuss the exile culture inside the NFL as players unveiled their vaccination status. Aaron Rodgers said the NFL was split into two classes, the vaccinated and unvaccinated. Players were forced to wear colored wristbands depicting vaccination status. Rodgers said vaccinated players had full privileges while unvaccinated ones were hammered with rules.

“There was a lot of shaming involved in it, there was a lot of public shaming that was attempted to coerce people to get vaccinated,” Rodgers said.

During the interview, Rodgers thanked Joe Rogan for his advice to listeners during the pandemic. Rodgers said he reached out to Rogan for advice during his research process and followed the advice when he contracted COVID-19. Rodgers said he was called a conspiracy theorist for his beliefs on COVID-19 vaccination, something Rodgers and Rogan have in common.
