BUT IF RUSSIA LOSES THAT STATUS THEIR RATE COULD SKYROCKET.. TO 59 PERCENT IN SOME CASES… ACCORDING TO RESEARCH FROM THE PROGRESSIVE POLICY INSTITUTE.  

BUT P-P-I ALSO  FOUND THAT IN MOST CASES.. RUSSIAN IMPORTS WOULD HAVE JUST A NEGLIGIBLE INCREASE. 

BIPARTISAN BILLS TO DO THIS HAVE ALREADY BEEN INTRODUCED IN THE HOUSE AND SENATE.. 

AS THIS DECISION IS ACTUALLY UP TO CONGRESS.

THIS IS A BIG MOVE.. RIGHT NOW ONLY TWO COUNTRIES.. CUBA AND NORTH KOREA.. HAVE HAD CONGRESS STRIP THEIR STATUS. 

PRESIDENT BIDEN ALSO INTRODUCED A PLAN TO BAN EVEN MORE RUSSIAN ITEMS FROM COMING INTO THE COUNTRY.. 

INCLUDING SEAFOOD VODKA AND DIAMONDS.

SOUNDS SMALL.. BUT ALONG WITH OIL THE BANNED ITEMS MAKE UP MORE THAN 70 PERCENT OF RUSSIAN IMPORTS TO AMERICA.. 

THE G-7 IS ALSO WORKING TO STOP RUSSIA FROM BORROWING FROM THE BIGGEST MULTINATIONAL BANKS.
