There is a profound amount of censorship in North Korea. What residents there know about the North and South’s conflict comes directly from their dictator, and anti-American rhetoric is working on North Korea’s people.

More than 1.4 million young people have enlisted in North Korea’s military in the last few days, according to state media. Based on the enlistment numbers, nationalism in North Korea is thriving.

North Korea government held recruitment events across the country to grow its military. The service members vowed to defend their country, unify the two Koreas and “annihilate” the enemy.

North Korea is conducting consecutive drills. It has been firing off some of the largest missiles in its arsenal since the U.S. and South Korea started holding joint military exercises one week ago.

The latest ballistic firing from North Korea on Monday simulated a nuclear attack on South Korea. Kim Jong-un has instructed his military to hold more drills in the coming days. He is preparing them for nuclear counterattacks, how to properly handle nuclear weapons and how to execute attack plans.

The U.S. and South Korea still have four more days of military drills. These are expected to be followed by more missile showings from North Korea.
