Ray: Politico reported the other day that a Trump campaign consultant specifically named you as somebody who’s not being considered enough as a vice presidential candidate. Does that interest you at all in 2024?
Sen. Josh Hawley: No.
Senator Josh Hawley says when it comes to being a 2024 Vice Presidential candidate, he’s a no. Straight Arrow News asked him about a Daily Caller report cited by politico that quoted a Trump campaign consultant who said he’s not being talked about enough.
The consultant told the Caller: “I think Hawley is very, very interested in policy. I think he’s not interested in overshadowing Trump. He looks the part, he’s presentable, he’s pretty good on TV, and unlike Mike Pence, he’s actually aligned ideologically to Donald Trump.”
Hawley didn’t just say no, he said no, no, no.
Hawley: No. That was easy, wasn’t it? No, no, but no.
Reporter: So you’re saying there’s a chance?
Hawley: No.
