Special Counsel John Durham’s filing spurs spying allegations against Hillary Clinton

By

Conservatives are accusing Hillary Clinton of spying on Donald Trump following a new filing from Special Counsel John Durham in regard to the Michael Sussmann case. The filing is a pre-trial motion of a possible conflict of interest with Sussmann’s attorney, but Durham also included the part Trump allies are focusing on.

Sussmann is accused of sharing internet data with the CIA in 2017. The data allegedly showed Russian-made phones were being used in the vicinity of the White House. Conservatives argue this behavior was part of an effort to rase suspicions of Trump’s ties to Russia shortly after he took office.

“There was spying going on. It was way worse than we thought,” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) told Fox News.

But the court filing doesn’t show that.

“The Special Counsel’s Office has identified no support for these allegations,” the filing specified.

It also included that the Russian-made phones weren’t unique to the Trump Administration. Use of those phones began “at least as early 2014 (i.e., during the Obama administration and years before Trump took office),” the filing reported.

AS PART OF AN EFFORT TO RAISE SUSPICIONS OF TRUMP’S TIES TO RUSSIA SHORTLY AFTER HE TOOK OFFICE.

TRUMP ISSUED A STATEMENT SHORTLY AFTER THE FILING CALLING IT A “scandal far greater in scope than Watergate” SAYING IT REVEALS HE WAS SUBJECTED TO A SMEAR CAMPAIGN.
