The Manhattan Institute has a new survey out on critical social justice. While the results are very concerning, they unfortunately are not very shocking. They surveyed about 1500 American kids who recently graduated from high school 93% said they had heard about at least one critical social justice concept from a teacher while they were in school. critical social justice includes critical race theory and radical gender ideology. It centers around educating students about white privilege on this idea that you aren’t gender is a choice instead of biological reality, that you are not who you were born if you don’t want to be. This is a world our children are growing up in 38% of those who are not taught these radical ideologies still reported that they were afraid of being punished, shamed, expelled for voicing opinions on these controversial subjects. This is all over our educational system, as students and teachers alike are threatened for the free expression of their ideas. That’s why in February, a tenured professor at a university, the University of Texas, he announced that he was suing the administration due to the threats that they made against him for publicly criticizing the schools new critical race theory policies in schools all over the country now are incorporating these left wing Marxist ideas into curriculum. And if you don’t agree, and you don’t want to teach it, you now are in a hot seat if you’re going to keep your job, so he decided to sue. And headlines like these have become all too common. I have to wonder why so many teachers are personally against these very subjects being taught, but they’re too afraid to speak out to the very real likelihood that they could lose their job. These subjects continue to promote the lie that American history is about dominant, oppressive white class, rather than an ongoing struggle that we each have to take our lot life and build it out. take personal responsibility to prevail under freedom. These are our kids and 93% are being taught all these contrary views to what we consider just normal civil society, then what does our future really look like? Because of course, students learn what their teachers are teaching them. Most of us, we share facts, when we spent 13 years in our educational systems, oh, you learn the same concepts have geometry and spent nights studying biology and memorizing vocabulary words. And those that didn’t do it. People like myself were the outcast. We were the outliers and a 93%. They also all share now in learning that your gender is not your biology, the people promoting the opposition to that worldview are the same ones that say whites are oppressors. They’re learning about what others do, rather than what they themselves choose. The best response to all of this is what we as parents choose to do with our children. And I’m telling you far too many parents are choosing to send their children to the schools and hope for the best education foundation is in learning facts and figures, the step of truth, even eternal truths, and parents have decisions to make, because right now, as it sits right now, the lies that have filled these false agendas of their left wing, they’re embedded and they’re being taught to every American student who’s in a government school or public school. And that’s a sad fact that we hopefully the action and our own personal responsibility can turn that fact into the fiction that it is
